For a truck gun (rifle). I'm not buying, but I'm curious to the preference of you guys.

+1 for a sidefolding krink but if you really want to decide between the two first posted, I'd go underfolder.

AK Pistols are fun but the one you posted has too long of a barrel :p you'd have to add a red-dot or something to be able to shoot it comfortably. I think Gimik has a nice 7.62 AK pistol, have him post pics.

Side folder Krinks are SBR's aren't they? Of course they look sweet, but I'm looking at something easy to obtain (IE not having to wait on NFA).

Where can you get shorter? I haven't seen the AK pistols anywhere else.

Yeah the sidefolding krink would be a SBR. There's a couple guys who will cut down and thread the barrel of a parts kit for you for around $125 IIRC. Not sure if you're interesting in building but that's probably the cheapest route.

Do they have to mess with the gas system? I never measured it before. Not sure if I would want an NFA registered rifle bouncing around in the truck though.

Yeah, depending on how short you want it, they will have to drill you a new gas port, move the gas block back and then shorten up your gas tube and gas piston.

I know this guy used to do it but I cant seem to find the link for his services on his webpage.

Here's a guy on AR15.com that will cut down your barrel for you too.

    Oh, that sucks :hs:

I'd just build another rifle so if you move out of CA you can fix it easily :o
