I have to go pick up my mother at the airport in a few days and would like to carry on my way there. Leaving the gun in the car of course when I go in. What are the odds of them checking the car and is this legal? CT has no laws against carrying in an airport that I can find.

I'd just keep it on me if I were you. If you have to go past the metal detectors then you might have a problem. As long as you don't get past that point then it's a non issue.

you cant access the secure area of an airport unless you are a passenger or have special circumstances like picking a child up. he will not be in the secure area and as he said there is no state law that prohibits it.

check packing.org for reference, and keep your eyes peeled for signs. no law, no signs, you are good to go.
