I recommend shooting jpeg and letting the camera do the work.

That shot might be a little overdone, but it fits the style, and looks awesome.

Aside from the fact that 75% of that was done in camera with the lighting, the post work was done pretty well.

    You need this:

How fake do you like your pics to look? I'm not a fan of super soft or rubber looking people

I used to love doing it just for fun. I think someone on OT actually shot this. Looks pretty damn good to begin with. I was shooting for like "magazine quality"

Did this with photoshop 7.0, which I still use a lot. I thought the original looked like total shit. I didn't shoot this.

retouching is easiest in photoshop i find

play with pictures and play with the blur tool/dodge tool/clone tool/heal and patch

you'll get decent at it in no time

there's a couple of apps that actually help with the pinup style that this is, believe it or not topaz is one of them:o

as for just doing some skin smoothing look into downloading portraiture, it's the best program out there for it IMO.

I don't either, but some girls sometimes want to have a picture of themselves looking thta way like they can be in a print ad.
I want the overdone plastic look, not just regular touching up of photos. I can already do that..just not so overly processed it looks like real actual airbrush.

I wouldn't mind knowing how either.
