Hey everyone. 24 year old college student here. Wanted to serve in the military all my life, just couldn't get away from obligations at home. Been looking into the Air National Guard. Seems alright, plus their main headquarters is literally like 5 minutes from house, which I believe is where I'd go for drill or whatever they call it.

Anyone in/been in that can tell me what it was like? I'm pursuing a career in law enforcement specifically with the feds and military experience can really improve my desirability as a candidate.

If you get a federal job, and join the Reserves, you will get paid your civ pay for drills.

The experience you would gain in the Air National Guard can't hurt your future career. Looks good on your resume so do it.

That is ART, not if your civ and mil job aren't related.
