I heard the AF is fucking strict on who they re-enlist. They'll only re-enlist prior service Marines to fill in a handful of jobs, such as MP, security, etc. that kinda shit. :ugh2: I was looking into going into the AF as 'Pararescue' after getting my EMT cert.

Also, is it true you can't re-enlist into the armed forces in general if you have a disability rating of 30% or more?

I know a guy who came into the AF as a Combat Controller. He was a Marine.

isn't that more of an infantry/security MOS? what about jobs that are more support related; do a lot of prior service Marines fill them?

The Air Force is downsizing. Their recruitment goals overall are very low. They are only allowing prior service sister service into the AF if they want to be a PJ or a Combat Controller. This does change monthly though.

In regards to the thread title are you shocked that the AF wouldn't jump at the chance to enlist a Marine? In my experience being a Marine means very little to the other services.
