Well I was notified today that I was selected for promotion to E-5. I was caught off guard on that since June marked my 3rd year in the Air Force and I put on E-4 in December 04, but with a line number in the high 13,000's its gonna be a while. So who are the new E-5's? Let see 'em.

Hey there killgunner, one marine to another. Stop fucking wiht this guy. E-5 in 3 and a half years is fast. Congratulate this guy and move on. Just because he is not a marine doen't mean anything, not everybody can be a marine. To break it down real basic for you we all have the same job to do. We just go about t a different way.

i knew a 4 year marine e5, all he had to do was stay sharp and be good at pt.. he was a lazy fuck too and did us no good.

lol what is your job in the marines? I would love to know since you guys matter so much
why are you guys so stuck on your own branch, do you not care when planes are screaming over head to protect to

did you not know we provice ISR to the ARMY and other units.. the intel you guys use to stay safe since we have all the planes. you guys are just a branch of the navy....

don't listen to any of the people talkin shit...they're more than likely just jealous. Trust me, as a 7 year E-6 I get this type of shit all the time...then you just have to look and see who's wearin it and who's not...

Yeah I know. My sister inlaw is in the air force.

I give her shit for it all the time. She is really hard corps though and she doesn't say anything back back because she knows I am a marine and she can't hack it.

We had two 3 year sgts in our platoon. :hsd:

But for real, why be such a jack ass about it? Time in grade, meritorious, whatever. Promotions are good things.

No step, no BTZ, no Airmen of the year, signed a 6 year contract so E-3 after completion of tech school, everything else was just doing my job and studying my ass off!
