Can anyone tell me if the training AF Firefighters receive is good enough for national certification?

well i dunno if the air force is the same as the marines in this area, but our guys are called Crash Fire Rescue, and deal with aircraft mishaps and fires and what not. We actually have civilian fire fighters that do all the normal fire stuff. it would help, but good enough for a national certification? probably not

don't know about certification, but i know air force firefighters are usually finalists in the firefighting competition that's on ESPN once in a while.

Well, a kid fresh out of high school asked me about fire fighting in the Navy. I told him if he wanted to get real training a a firefighter to either try the Air Force, Army or Marines since they have jobs specifically for fire fighting. From what I have read so far, the training the AF gets is good enough for DoD and IFSCA certification.
