I assume you meant ABU's :o You can get them now, depends if your base has them or not, or you can get them online. Don't get them from maacs.com, I ordered mine July 24 and still haven't gotten them. :madfawk:

a recruiter told me that they were increasing the BMT duration from 6.5 weeks to 8 weeks NEXT october. He was an extreme recruiting noob though, as he said it was his 3rd MOS.

Yep...and the post officer personnel :)

About how much is 1 uniform? Socks, t-shirt, the whole sha-bang? I'm debating on buying it or just sticking with my BDU's and just paying my $20/month for dry cleaning.

i'll pass on ABU's until i wear out my BDUs, i dont have the money to be buying all these uniforms every month. Some people (generals) are already starching the ABU...so it will probably trickle down to us at the lower ranks to be expected to do the same.

BDUs were never ment to be starched/ironed either.

also i hear they might be changing the service dress again...that would be such bullshit.

i had heard a rumor that there was such an uproar about these looking so horrific (most notably making the wearer looking like a nazi) that they are going to revamp the design again
