    +1

For a budget optic, it's well worth the money. It's not a cheap airsoft knock off like one might think. Mine is holding zero with no problems at all, and should work just fine for me until I have the money to get a top shelf optic.

And another thing about the M3 clone from Primary Arms, their service is some of the best I've ever dealt with.

When I ordered my clone from them, they had the high mount for it, but were out of stock on the canted mounts. I check back on the site last week and see that they now have the cant mount option with the sight again, so I ask on their forum over at AR15 about getting one since they don't list them for sale apart from getting one with the optic. The guy there gives me an email address to send a message to, so I do that today, figuring then I'll be able to purchase just the mount from them. I get a response asking my for my order# and then I don't hear anything else for a while after sending him that info.

Now I check my email again just now to find a message telling me I have an order from Primary Arms that has shipped. Granted it's no LaRue mount, but to just send out a free mount like that is pretty kick ass.

First of all, you want to put it on an AR15.

From Aimpoint's product page regarding the 9000SC:

    draw your own conclusions.

not to mention its a very lengthy sight and you're concerned about the ability to use a BUIS. will you be using the rifle in conditions where your optics will fail and you will have to use back up irons? I dont even have BUIS for my ACOG - not to mention i dont even have a quick detach mount either. realistically i know that my optic will not break with the shooting i'm doing. even if it did break, it would take a ton of time getting it off the gun so i can use my BUIS. the rings you listed arent QD so you'd be in the same situation.

if you're concerned about the robustness of your optic (AND the size), i would strongly suggest either the M, ML or even the C (if you're on a budget) series. all of those optics in a cantilever mount will give you plenty of room for a BUIS. then there is the micro series, the T1 or H1 depending on level of use you require and your budget.

here is a fucking outstanding spreadsheet with information regarding aimpoint optics:

    http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pwswheghNQsFFHwq_KhEISQ&output=html

    and some more information:

No need for deep diving or NV, and on a budget?
    Aimpoint C3

    Need a deeper waterproof rating?
    Aimpoint ML3

Need the deeper rating and NV?
    Aimpoint M3

Need the most robust and bomb-proof sight Aimpont has ever made?
    Aimpoint M4 or M4s

Need a compact and/or lightweight solution without the need to dive or NV?
    Aimpoint H-1

Need a compact and/or lightweight solution and you dive with it or need NV?
    Aimpoint T-1

rob_s has some of the best reviews of products and real world data that you can find on the net. i dont mean any offense to you, but i dont see a review for the 9000SC on his page.

    I'm sorry, what?

Depends on the state buddy but you go ahead and keep on thinking that. Have fun in prison if you do it in the wrong state.

I know WMD jacks off nightly to the thought of shooting someone so my words will be ignored/ridiculed.

CA actually has a provision in the Penal Code about that. If you shoot someone who has broken into or illegally entered your home, and you shoot, you are automatically presumed to have been legally in fear of your safety, therefore presuming that it's a good shoot.

Investigation may disprove that, but the law starts on the homeowner's side.
