I have a Manfrotto/Bogen 3001 tripod sitting in my shopping cart at B&H, but it's so hard to spend 100 bucks on a tripod + a head.

I know, and i know I really want it, it's just so hard to do for something as simple as a tripod. I went to the store and looked at it, and it very nice though!

people said I'd have to spend more on a tripod than I did and now I am kicking myself. My $50 tripod isn't very good.

I got the Dynatran AT858 from Amvona.com for $90 with shipping and I couldnt be happier. Quick release and can hold up to 13 lbs. Not to mention it extends over 6 feet. Damn worth it.

The 3011/3021 weighs in about 5 lbs but it's rock solid.

I just got a Gitzo G1568 carbon fiber monopod. Got a good deal on it for $160ish with a Bogen 3232 head.

The quality seems good so far. Ive had it for about a week or so and Its been very sturdy. Its kinda heavy but I actually like that about it and with the carrying case it's not so bad.

I've heard great things about this tripod, even though it's not a name brand, I heard it was like a copy of a manfrotto 3021.

I guess thats what they compare it to.
