This is why unless you have a specific gun purchase in mind you have already researched it is deadly to go into a gunstore with your wallet.

Wife says "ahh, how cute. It's a baby 1911!" :ugh: :mamoru:

We'll see how it does for IDPA this Saturday.

Holy shit I didn't realize it was that small..nice to see it with a hand in the pic for atual idea.. what do those actually hold anyway, and aren't they just a 9?
*I use 9 but just asking since most 1911 nuts go off it's gotta be a 10mm or a .45!*

It holds 9+1 in 9x19. :) lol in all honesty I have no use for it. Not an ideal game gun, not an "ideal" carry. Just one of those fuck it guns I guess.

I "could" be considered a 1911 nut, but I don't believe primarily in .45's, even though that's all I've owned in this platform. I'd like to build a full size 1911 in 9mm to use in IDPA Enhanced service pistol division next year, but I know I can run it and probably take my division with my Glock. lol

You know it's bad when you are just making shit up to justify a gun purchase any more. When it came down to it I said "fuck it, work hard play hard then you die. Put it on the card, here's my CCW..."

looks cool. I have a reasonably long list of things I'd buy before that... but if I already had all the rest, it'd be a novel toy to have.

eh, like I said it's a fuck it gun. I'm hardly hurting and the only guns I buy anymore are for competition and I'm restricting myself to those because I need to shoot more consistently in those before I buy any more because bouncing from division to division is starting to hurt me.

I started my collection when I was 15 and now I'm a 30 something childless yup with some disposable income. Aside from the uber high end, not a lot on my list I haven't had or have.

yeah, me too. I shoot with the guys that run the Range at a popular gun range in Seattle and they told me every 3rd person brings it back because it jams so much.

A lot is uneducated shooters that don't know how to maintain a firearm, or have poor shooting technique. But again, it was one of those spontaneous purchases. Kinda like getting drunk and sleeping with a fat chick. Aww, come on you know what you were doing, everyones done it. lol

You know me, if the SHTF I'm grabbing my Glock anyhow. It's probably going to be thrown in the back of the safe with my .357 sig XD, .40 and 9mm Khar, .410 derringer, .25 Berretta and .32 KelTec. LOL the "fat chicks" of my gun collection.

I think if I got a small 1911 for carry it'd be an Ultra Carry. My buddy has one and loves it and I checked it out and it seems like a hell of a gun.

Very nice piece! I've been wanting a 9mm 1911 for a while now. Mind if I ask how much you got it for? I like the two tone look with the wooden grips.

Edit: Just checked a few of my sources for this gun. It is going for nearly $1k. Not sure why it would cost this much. I don't mind spending $1k or more for a pistol, but I have to be able to mentally tell myself that the gun is worth it...

Thanks, like I've explained over again and in my first post, it's NOT practical. And it's hardly a wise decision unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket as I do. My bills are overpaid, my cars are paid for. My wife is spoiled. I bought my house a long time ago and have a ridiculously low mortgage, no bad vices like "over" drinking, drugs or gambling. And no kids... yet. :)

Never heard any problems on them from anybody I've talked to, nothing but praises. It's usually my friends main carry to keep away the homies when he's working ect.

    My brother. :)

No car payments, no kids, only have my house payment to deal with = more fun money.

All my friends and co-workers with new cars and kids can't figure out how I can afford "cool stuff". :hsugh:

LOL. And it's not like I'm some tycoon, I just spend my money wisely. I bring my lunch from home, and only eat out occassionly. I don't buy 200 sneakers and jeans. I actually "keep" my cars rather than chase trends every 2 years, and I pay in cash rather than allow it collect interest on credit cards and any debt I do have are usually little/no interest credit cards are paid off in a month. And I live within my means, How hard is that?
