I hit my 3 yr mark in Sept. which means I will have a year left if I do not re-enlist. I am currently an E-4(P) with over 700 promotion points, and the points are "supposed" to drop by the end of the year. Assuming I get picked up, I was thinking about going AGR Warrant.

I bring it up because my father told me they have an accelerated program In Pennsylvania right now, where I would go to 4 different 2 week schools, and that would be it! It would involve a little traveling, but I do not mind going to school/tdy.

Anyways, does anyone know anything about being an AGR warrant? Any friends. My father is AGR by the way.

Warrant Officer Candidate School is 6 weeks if you have not attended WLC, and 4 weeks if you have attended WLC. The school for your Warrant MOS varies in length depending on field.

    Read all of this.

Warrant Officer Candidate school itself is 4 - 6 weeks long depending on what level of military professional development you have had. The entire course length is determined by your career field. For example, I am currently in flight school, and with every school combined I will be here over a year.

    Join the USAR.

    Go to WOC.

Submit an AGR packet and wait to make the list.

I heard there is a WOCS (I'm PA Guard) that is one weekend a month for an entire year.

I know my brigade is looking for a couple signal warrant officers for AGR positions at Ft Indiantown Gap. I was considering it, but now I'm getting my E5 next month.

I used to live in Palmyra, not too far from the Gap, while my father worked there. I am set to ETS in Sept. 2008, and one of the options I am tossing around is going NG to be an AGR warrant.

    My father is still AGR.

Haven't heard anything about that. My WOCS class was about 20% National Guard.
