I got a computer as a gift and I want to upgrade the video card on it but I dont know if the motherboard has AGP. Is there a way that I can tell without opening up my case and looking for it.

Whats the model of the current vid card?

Look in device manager, find name, look up card on internet, see if its AGP or PCI

Or just run a sys information program like AIDA32 or Sisoft Sandra and look in there

You can also just open the case and look at the mother board and look for a slot for a card that is brown.
The white slots are for PCI cards are closer to the edge of the board, the AGP is set further back.
