Hey, I just bought a used video card, not realizing that an AGP pro card required a different (longer) slot than the AGP slot I have
The additional length is to provide the power from the adjacent PCI slot. Is there a way to run a cable from the adjacent slot to provide this power instead?
Or is there a fairly cheap Socket A mb available with an AGP Pro 50 slot? Thanks

No you cannot fit a AGP Pro into a standard AGP slot and you can't just run a cable for any reason.

What card is it? Because you might be better off just returning or selling the card and getting something else than trying to find a SocketA with AGP Pro mobo these days.

The only mobo that newegg has that has AGP Pro is Socket 754.
