Okay i just got a brandnew BFG Nvidia 5900XT OC.

My question is that my mobo only has a agp 2.0 slot, and would i get more performance and in what areas (like pixel filling) if i got a new mobo with a agp 3.0 slot?
    Is the upgrade worth it?

AGP 8x provides very little or no performance increase over 4x. When I bought a 9700Pro about 2 years back I didn't check the BIOS after installation and months down the line I realised it had been on 4x AGP since I first bought it. When I upped to 8x there was 0 performance increase.

Seems like it turned out to be marketing BS....again.

EDIT: To avoid any misunderstanding there is a marginal increase in using AGP 8x. But this increase is so small it would only be noticed in a synthetic benchmark e.g 3DMark2001. The only figure I can remember off the top of my head is that a TI4200 8x is 1% faster than a TI4200 4x.........
