Stemming from a rotator cuff injury over a month ago benching. I've made a few threads already, so I won't bore you with the story again.

The cliffs are that it is basically still sore and I cannot lift upper body/shoulders yet without it aching... and that is even with light weight.

What should my expectations be with my initial visit to my A.R.T. practitioner?

I don't care if it's painful, as long as it gets me back on track. Pain is a small price to pay for recovery... along with the co-pay :o

I didn't find it particularly painful, the guy I went to used acupuncture needles with electrical impulses so I can't imagine it could be worse then that. I've heard it goes from massage techniques to chiropractic, acupuncture. Look to see how many sports stars they service, mine actually did lots of players for the Hawks and Braves.

What injury did you go for? Were you pleased with the results?

Carpal tunnel from computer work, but it was effecting my lifting cause of weak wrists. It was pretty good for reducing the pain, I ended up stopping cause it was like $90 an appointment. I just stick to chiropractic and deep tissue massages now which seems to do the trick for me.

Insurance will cover some of it, I forgot what the limits were. I know I maxed it out pretty quick at that price.

How many sessions did you attend before you stopped?

I've been hearing 5-7 are the standard.

I read a testimonial of a guy that couldn't do 1 pushup without it hurting... and after his first session, he could do 30 easily :noes:
