If i shut down and start back up, it works fine. but if i install something and have to restart, the mouse doesnt work the next time i get into windows. then if i restart again it works fine. its just a reg ps/2 mouse. ive tried both ps/2 ports its the same. i just put the pc together today, installed all the system drivers/utilities. its an MSI neo2 platinum.

    :dunno:

The KB worked with just the USB?! Huh. I have one of those (in a box somewhere) and never tried it like that. I know it's not supposed to be used that way, I'm just suprised it worked at all.

Yea, but the MS pro USB is just supposed to be for the build-in 2 port USB hub.
