I have a bad lower back, have since i was like 12.

I know I've had a herniated disc at least once, but it wasn't something they wan't to operate on because I was so young, 16 at the time. I throw out my back every so often doing normalish things.

Anyways, I have an intense desire to get broly, but am afraid if i jump into doin deads and squats, i'm gunna end up not being able to walk. What are good things I can do to strengthen my lower back, so i can gradualy work these things into my routine?

I was thinking I should go to pilates and yoga classes at my YMCA. I was also wondering if good mornings with light weight would be good or bad for my back at this point?

What else should I be doing in order to get my back in good condition? For now on legs days I'm stuck working the machines so I don't hurt myself :hs:

Make sure you have good form before you move onto heavier weights.

Small problems in form get to be bad habits the heavier you go.

    Practice form with light weight.

The first time I deadlifted, my form was off so I fucked up my back. But I studied the form online and practiced with light weights. If you do that, you should be alright.

Try dumbell unilateral squats and deads, lesser weights, great for the core
