By a company called control4 looking at this, seen the prices and it's actually quite affordable (especially when compared to creston, etc.)http://control4.com/

I was reading up on these new control4 products and they enable whole house control of audio, video, lighting and temperature. Might run you prolly about from 5k for an average house

Yeah that's the larger one (runs about 2k right?). But the beauty of it is that you can start with a one room system and you can expand. My friend and I were looking for the whole thing for his 2 bedroom townhouse and from our calculations it was gonna run him 8 grand for his whole house (audio, lighting, and climate control). He was still debating the video but he did want the 10.5 control as oposed the smaller one

I've heard from installers that there are several reliability issues with the system. Can you confirm or deny this? Is there anything particular that is prone to act up? I've actually seen one freeze and all you will see on the tv is the main control 4 screen but thats about it, no response or anything. It really is a great concept but have they worked out all the kinks and bugs off of it?
