I wear Express for Men stuff and Banana Rep. stuff when I can buy it on sale or if I need something to be sharp, but what about places/brands that offer style for less? I cringe at spending $80 on jeans, $50 is tyipcally my max. Like I said...SALE :)

    So, what'cha got?

I think it depends on the person. Some people are built like the typical American, and will look great in gap/whatever the cheap stuff is nowadays.

Then there are people like me, built like skinny short Italians, who basically have to buy expensive clothing, or get cheap clothing fitted to look good.

Fashion imo is 80% fit, 20% brand. If you've got the good brands, but no fit, you look terrible. On the other hand, if you've got less trendy brands, but a killer fit, you'll pull it off well assuming you have some type of aesthetics instinct.

Quality jeans last forever. I've got $290 Diesels from when I was 18, and they look 100x better now than they did 4 years ago.

Not to mention raw denim gets "personalized" fade.

$100 for nice pants that you'll have for 3-5 years, you can't afford that? Believe me, once you actually look at, and buy nice jeans (nice jeans are rarely $100), you'll never go back.

The cheapest I have are shitty Guess Premiums which go for around $120. But I also buy all my clothing at the store, which is a bad idea.

I'm sure theres plenty of stupid shit you buy for over $100 every month.

Got a Loehmann's nearby? Go there.. I like going to Target sometimes, every month or so they have a line from an international designer that sells for cheap but good quality IMHO.

:dunno: I have some Silver jeans ($50) that lasted me more than 4 years and now they have that fade and a few holes here and there.

I receive nice clothes ($100+ per article) as a gift- they are the ones that go to shit faster.

I'm rather frugal and never spend over $100 on stupid shit every month. :hs:

    You're a chick.

A chick can spend $20 on clothing and look killer, not a guy. :wtc:

Hell, you can goto BCBG and buy 50 pairs of badass shoes for $100, we can't even buy 1 pair of "badass" shoes for under 50-60.
