So a friend of mine just joined the AF. He is in Boot Camp right now and shoudl be graduating in two weeks from now. In his letter he told me that he might get discharged due to fradulent enlistment. I have some what of an idea of what that means, but not really sure. Is it something he did to get kicked out (if he is gettng kicked out). I tried to google "fradulent enlistment" but never got a straight answer. Just wondering if someone could help me out. Thanks.

He lied to the recruiter. If he is just getting kicked out, he is lucky.

he'll get an ELS (entry level seperation) since he hasn't been in longer than 6 months. Pretty much after a year of getting out he will have his military service deleted, the records will still remain though. If he does decide to enlist again he will still have to disclose that he was in the AF for less than 6 months.

(I know because I have first hand knowledge of this, I will reveal no more)
