My boots are falling apart and it's time for me to get some new ones wonder what you all would recomend. I'm a weather troop so I'm inside all day so no worrying about steel toes or what not. Have been wearing Coracan Maruaders for a while now but am thinking of switching to their jump boots. I know some of yall have had a pair so let me know what you thought about them or feal free to suggest some boots in the 125ish range

    cliffs: need new boots...

I'm in the army and was stationed at Fort Bragg. I'm a leg, so I hate jump boots on principal, but, I'll just say they're uncomfortable, a bitch to shine, and unless you're Army airborne are 100% totally fucking lame. So just go get yourself a set of altama jungle boots and be done with it.

I appreciate your info about the boots being uncomfortable and hard to shine but I couldn't care less what you think is "lame"

not a fan of their jump boots. they're fairly comfortable, but they are so damn wide in the front I look like a clown.

LOL leave the jump boots to the airborne guys for their Class A's. I'd sugguest maybe a nice pair of sneakers for you. Those would probably be pretty cushy and keep your feet in good shape

I found my perfect boot and will stick by it. Standard issue Bellville 10.5W steel toe. They even fit great in the desert camo version. Even if you don't get the steel toe version I'd check them out. Or those new basic training issue boots. They have Gortex and are extremely comfortable! Has anyone heard about being able to wear desert camo boots with the new ABU until the green boots come out?

In commanders call today they said that deserts are authorized until fiscal 08. The new boots should be available by August.

danner acadias are the best boot i've had. i like mauraders, but they are only good for the part of the chair force that sits at a desk. but i currently have the danner acadia steel toe w/gore-tex. best boot ever. a little on the spendy side, but well worth it imo.

^if you ever get to go to Korea. you can go to a shoe store and they can make you a pair of boots specifically for your foot. They look just like milspec ones and fit like a pair of tennis shoes.

There are plenty of boot makers around the US that can do the same thing for you but the cost is a lot greater. There is a shop in Houston that makes custom boots and they are one of the most famous in the world. A nice set of mil spec boots would run between $500 and a grand.

500 and a grand...better be guaranteed for life, or made of gold one or the other

Well they are custom fitted, hand made boots. They get a lot more expensive for regular cowboy boots.:noes:
