  1. I'm getting into running and would like to be able to run 3-5 miles without stopping eventually. What's the best way to do this? Just like jog for a long distance without stopping? Sprints? Run, walk, catch breath, run? Run, jog, run? Run a mile everyday? :dunno: I always get out of breath before my legs start to hurt.

run. yes. yes. yes. yes. yes, but keep increasing the distance as your endurance increases. it happens, pace yourself then push yourself. don't forget to rest.

Start with one mile every day and walk only to catch your breath. Make sure you're breathing properly so you don't cramp up. Stretching before and after your run will help thwart pain issues.

It's also good to jog it slowly so that you pace yourself. Run too fast too soon, and you're setting up teh fail. Gradually increase your distance, and don't worry about your time... just your breathing. Hope that helps.
