My brother managed to dl something and has given our one and only computer some ridiculous adware and crap...

I've used Ad-Aware SE personal to get rid of most of them, and then used Symantec Anti-virus just to make sure...

The Symantec found some adware in my C:windows/system32 folder, but for some retarded reason it wont repair/clean it.

The Ad-aware SE doesn't detect it.

Is there anyway to get rid of it?

    www.grisoft.com for your Anti-virus.

    Spybot

Microsoft Antispyware This will also give you real time protection

And ad-aware as you have it.

Make sure you keep your windows up-to-date. With these 4 tools you shouldn't get any problems from a fresh windows install, and we'll clean out your already infected system.

if worse comes to worse, try the 'system restore'
    start...alll programs...accessoriesss...system tools...system restore

restore to a previous point to see if it gets rid of it.

    good luck
