Advice on not losing weight

    I have to *not* lose 2lbs of my current weight for 3-4 months (gaining is fine, though), and I need advice. Should I just completely cut out cardio, or just shorten my times doing it? Currently jogging/eliptical machine for 30-40 minutes a day, along with lifting 4 days a week, for roughly an hour a day. Should I increase my lifting routine?

    I eat pretty healthY, but only three meals a day.
    Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs, cottage cheese, and either ham or corn beef hash
    Lunch/Dinner - either baked fish or chicken, with 1 - 2 vegetables, sometimes pasta salad.

    I drink 1/2 - 1 gallon of water a day.

    I'm 6'3, 254lbs. 22% body fat, so yes, a beer belly.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    I'm in the army, I got injured, but not bad enough to get a medical board. So now i sit at a desk all day and its fucking boring, lifes going nowhere, so i tried to find out if there was any other way to get out early. I can get out for being overweight, which I am now by roughly 20lbs. I really don't want to just stop working out though, as I've developed a lot since about 2 years ago, and I don't want to lose what I have. If I lose two pounds though, in the next three months, it is a sign of improvement, so it might delay me getting out. It might sound shitty, but I've been in for three years and am ready to fucking move on.

    Just keep eating more then and as you said yourself...maybe cut down on the cardio.
    Maybe invest in flax seed oil or any thing that's calorically dense.

    And maybe a muumuu. ;)

    Why don't you quit being a pussy and finish you hitch (which I assume is 4 years), tkae your Honorable Discharge and move on with life. Do you really want a medical discharge on your record?

    Uhh yeah a medical discharge would have been great, partial benefits and pay for the rest of my life, sounds pretty rough. I wasn't injured badly enough to get that, though, and am now stuck working in an office instead of getting deployed (due to my injury) in the second highest deployed job in the army. Now I'm just trying to get some advice on how to work out harder while maintaining my weight so I can get out and further my career, be with my girlfriend again (lives almost 3 hours away), and enjoy life, while also getting payed 4x as much as I am now. Again, I've been in for three years, and have done nothing..... This place just depresses me now.

    Oh, and you're a 19 year old student so live a little more before talking a bunch of shit.

    What did you injure and how long is the rest of your hitch? Do you really want to be discharged for being fat? Sounds like a pretty shitty reason to me.


    I'll talk all the shit I want to people who are trying to bitch out on their commeitments when I have friends and family who are stuck in Iraq and having their deployments lengthened when they should already be discharged.

    Yeah because I've never had any close friends go to iraq or fucking die there. How many funerals have you been to in the last 2 years? Its an honorable discharge. I have a year left at a shitty job that pays terrible.

    Oh, and my injury was from a jump, I broke my right knee, fractured my left, and fucked my hips up. Knees are better, I just feel like a 60 year old man. Tendons in my hips will heal, but not for aprox. 2 more years.

    If you want to gain weight, 1 gallon of whole milk a day. Its worked for me so far.
