i've been eating basically this with limited exceptions 6.5 days a week (cheat meal & shitload of rum on weekends) for about a month and a half. i used to do chicken & more carbs instead for the months before that. i also get in about 4 miles of walking/jogging in daily. assuming i don't die from mercury poisoning, i'm just trying to go from 180 right now down to about 168 at 5'11. since i switched to fish i've been averaging 1 to 2 lbs weight loss a week.

i guess what i'm asking is am i going to start losing muscle at this rate?

and if i add in 400 or 500 more calories of mostly protein, should i start lifting to mainain/build what muscles i do have now?

anyways, my only real goal here is to be lean, but not some super skinny fuck. any advice is greatly appreciated.

um you need to tell us how tall you are, how much you weigh now, what your body type is like, are you a hardgainer, etc.

sry this was before i added carrots to it, typically about 2 servings a day of that or onions. fruit is kind of a rare occasion though. i do take multivitamins if that helps.

At 168lbs I'd be shooting for at least 1600-1800 calories and 180g of protein. Basically... add another meal in your day of 6oz chicken and 5oz sweet potato/yam and you should be good to go

if you don't want to end up super skinny you might like your results more if you brang your calories to maint and lift weights and do cardio. if anything at least it would allow you to eat more

a lot of mixed drinks, ie. 6 - 12 shots worth

thanks, that's about what i've been thinking about adding. i've heard that sweet potatoes are better than regular potatoes, but don't know why.

no worries, i could probably add on some orange juice and green beans too

i definitely want to, but having lost 20 lbs in the past few months i'm terrified of gaining anything back. i guess i could build up to eating more, but every site i've seen estimates my maint to be ~2700 cal which is more than i typically ever ate, especially now that i'm getting full at 1400 - 1600 cal.
