my best friend had a baby 6 months ago, her skin is still stretched and loose in the stomach area, and she wants it gone, aside from a tummy tuck are there any ways to tighten that area up via exercise?

EDIT: also, she is a single mother, and so she watches the kid pretty much all day, so I'm looking for stuff she can do at home.

build muscle under it or wait for it to tighten on its own

Nothing she can do for that one spot in particular really- get her on an exercise plan, get her watching her calories and her protein, and she'll be able to shape up all over.

IF it's really loose skin and not just post-pregnancy flab. If she's a home-bound mom I doubt she's been watching her diet or working out to any extent.

its mostly just post-pregnancy flab, that she wants to get rid of. and no she hasn't been exercising or sticking to any type of diet. Since she cant work she has very little money, so she eats very cheap but unhealthy things.

Oh I bet..and I wasn't busting on her, I can sympathize :wiggle: I bet she'll see decent results if she just starts eating better and taking walks with the baby, doing some at-home bodyweight stuff and so on.

yes exercise will tighten up that area.
    tell her to go running

she is basically doing nothing for her body eating or exercise wise and then wondering if she needs a tummytuck?
take her kids to the playground and then run around with them, she will lose weight in no time.
