I'm thinking about getting a Chevy HHR, 07 with 25k miles for 6.5k from my work. Only problem with the vehicle is the interior. The back seat is destroyed with strains in the carpet of the floor. Some of the stains are hard and flake with the fingernail. I was just curious as to if anyone knows of any cleaners. I will post pictures of the carpet tomorrow for reference...thanks in advance!

Go to Wal Mart and get All Free & Clear Laundry Detergent, and use about 25/75 to 50/50 mixture, add a splash of your choice of scented fabric softener if you like. Make sure to vacuum first, then spray, scrub, vacuum again, repeat as needed. I do this every 2-3 months. Worked perfect for the last 145k in my Chrysler over the last 6 years, and all the rest of my cars (beater Cavalier, C5, GTO, countless GM trucks, etc).

Pictures would help. If the stains are severe enough, you might be better off replacing or doing a re-dye.
