i want to get some really good, light/slim running shoes. doesn't matter what brand, and even color really doesn't matter (cool looking would be cool), i just want something that is nice and comfy. i have pretty normal feet with kinda low arches, if that matters any.

was thinking some type of new balance or plain nikes.

    :)

Asics running shoes. You can get a good pair ~$50.

I like my asics too, it really depends on what kind of foot you have. Try on as many as you can and try not to focus on price too much, you might be surpised that the cheaper one suits you much better than the 120 dollar space shoes.

go to a running store where they actually look at your feet, check your gait/pronation (sp) and whatnot. they know their product, and they know hot to fit feet and that is how they keep business.

i have a pair of asics, very light, supports my hight arch and has a really good pronation correction. i also have some newbalance all terrain xc running shows. brooks makes good running shoes too.

check out thier websites, they (at least newbalance) have fit/shoe selector guides based on your foot type and activity.

They're $59.99 (i think...something like that) at Dick's Sporting Goods, no idea what they're called though.

i ended up getting the asics gel nimbus VI in black and red. they were about 120$. SOOOOOO NICE feeling. highly recomend, i have about 6 miles on them so far. you can find if for quite a bit cheaper if you don't care about color. the red ones are hard to find for cheap. they are for a neutral foot. Always like my Adidas running shoes.

Almost always find a good pair for $60 or less.
