So I was at the gym yesterday, and during a bench, my back started hurting. The pain seems to be between the shoulder blades, and tied to the movements of my neck. It is the most intense when I try to look over either shoulder. Is this something I need to stretch out, or something more serious?

Rest and ibuprofin. If that doesn't start to feel better in a little bit, go see a doctor.

I've got a naggy injury in my back between my shoulder blade and my spine on my right side similar to what you're talking about. It's on and off, but has been that way for months. :hs:

i have been dealing with similar pain. Right undeneath my right shoulder blade. This is the second time i have aggravated this area. First i went to a rehab clinic and they worked on back a few times. Didnt help. Other than what Ricey McRicerton said Ice has been my best friend.

I've had that happen to me a number of times, it sucks. I just let it rest and it heals in a few days. It would mostly happen after chest day, so I make sure I stretch my back before any workout, and I haven't had the problem again.
