I'm just curious if there are significant advantages to being a Costco member. Do they carry stuff exclusively? Are they that much more cheaper? What nutrional items you guys specificially buy there?

Umm.....you can get more shit for cheaper, i.e. chicken, steak, fruit, etc. they sell most stuff in bulk.

It's worth it. If nothing else, I noticed I started bringing home less junk compared to when I shop at regular grocery stores. Always pick up a few cases of water, milk, fruits/veggies, turkey and sirloin burgers and fish every week.

if you are serious about working out and getting your nutrition on point, costco/other wholesale bulk food warehouse is a must.

I have saved my 50 dollar sign up fee in the price of bags of chicken alone. Hell i basically buy less than 10 things, but i buy a lot of them.

    +1.

It's easier to shop healthy at Costco. Since everything comes in bulk you're less likely to pick up junk because unless you're EVO you don't want to spend $15 on ho-ho's.

You go there for essentials and you buy the essentials in bulk.
    - Sirloin beef
    - Chicken Breasts
    - Fish
    - Eggs
    - Veggies
    - Fruits
    - Cheese
    - Brown Rice
    - Pasta

At least that's what I get. And maybe some chips and humus :noes:

The advantage over Wal-mart? Let's see... Costco is clean, and not the seething cesspool of disgusting trash that is "Wal-mart" and the people that shop there.

I dont know about all CostCo's, but mine carries these chicken breasts, pre-grilled, sliced and refridgerated, with no preservatives or any of that shit in it. They come in a two-pack in a ziplock-style packaging, ~4lbs of sliced chicken breasts for $10.99.

I also get my carb balance tortillas, Milk, Cottage Cheese, Guac, Multivitamins and Fish Oil from there.

    It's definitely worth a membership.

The only reason I go to Sam's is I have a free membership. If I had to pay I'd go to Costco.

I need to get back into Costco. I stopped shopping there about 3 months ago because I got sick of spending 2 hours waiting in line, and their hours suck. But, ironically, since I stopped going my diet has gotten much worse and I have a lot more trouble hitting macros and overall cals.

I think I'll go back next week.

Didn't sams club go bankrupt? Or was that only in Canada?

Nah. They never went bankrupt as far as I know.

Wal-Mart just shut down some stores in Canadia to make room for new shit because the profit margins in the Wal-Mart supercenters were greater than that of which Sam's Club was producing.
