He squatted 705 pounds (320kg), benched 507 (230kg), and deadlifted 815 pounds (370kg). Belyaev did not take a final squat.

Banned form IPF for doping violations (no shit though).

fucking crazy, I had no idea he was 220.

KK would've kicked his ass if he was healthy enough to do the full meet, but he also has like 50lbs on him

The diff. in sheiko trainees/similar methodoligies and westside style of trainees is so crazy. The sheiko guys have such unreal form. Everything is picture perfect. Additionally, they all seem to leave 20+ pounds or more on each lift on the platform. No struggle on any of those lifts really at all.

Meh, I'm from eastern Europe and I'm not even close to these guys.

Granted I also lack the dedication they have.

I wouldn't say Belyaev is somewhat unknown.

Plenty more gas in the tank and its his first raw meet.

Maybe.. try a sheiko routine, I'd give you 3-4 weeks before your joints are screaming. The workouts last hours. Literally ive seen some days last 3 hours.

sheiko is based off of olympic lift training methodology, where repetition/practice is the most important part. the downside is that the volume is so high that i think its hard for a lot of people to handle it.

Yep I've tried it, you've summed it up quite well. Throw gear into some sets and you can be there even longer than 3 hrs.

One thing to note is high percentage of sheiko athletes who pull sumo. I believe its due to the large carryover from squatting to sumo pulling.

i did a full sheiko cycle last winter...some days i fucking hated it being in the gym almost 3 hours finishing all that damn accessory work after 18 sets of deadlifts and 12 sets of bench or whatever...but all my lifts went up at the end. After my meet in a little over a week, might run another 9 week sheiko cycle...shit worked amazing if you stick through it

Doesn't even use a lift out on his opening bench and walks out his squats, lol.
