    photoshop replacement awesome?

  7. LR is not and never will be a photoshop replacement.

I've never used the full version yet but it is probably worth the $199, I'd rather pay that than $299 in april.

I just hope a crack comes out before then :x:

its photoshops brother, they work together, but you can do a lot of the mundane stuff in lightroom, which is faster. It keywords, writes metadata, IPTC, batches, saves presets, prints, makes slideshows, web galleries, clone/heal, rey eye removal etc etc, but all in the metadata and not the actual pixels :eek3:

if you are going from jpg -> jpg then it will when you eventually save it again. It keeps a master file and then applies adjustments accordingly on the fly, so that your orig stays intact.

  18. Seems like you put alot of use to your 70-200 and 16-35, why don't you upgrade to the 17-55? :)
