When i first started to get in shape, my friend told me that after a while it will get to be kinda like an addiciton. Now i am realizing what he said because for months now i've been thinking about lifting and being healthy constantly, it's always in the back of my mnd, and it is an addiction for me.

do any of you see as lifting and being healthy in general as an addicition? (not to make this thread sound negative...it's definitely a good addiciton :bigthumb:

Eh, kind of. I do notice I get short tempered really quick if I haven't got to work out.

yes, but I balance it out with a healthy addiction to alcohol and prescription painkillers.

When you workout either cardio or lifting...your body releses some dopamien, this is the same stuff that is relesed in large quantity in your brain during an organsm to make you feel pleasure, it's also relesed when you do crack, pot, any drugs.

When you workout, less is relesed, but if you make working out a habit (start doing it for more then 2.5~4 weeks) you will become addicted/dependent on that high. IT's a good thing.

i might be wrong but we talked about this in my anatomy and phisiology class.
