My father in law has slowly been loosing his mind the past few years. Today my wife and I decided it is time to relieve him of hsi firearms for safety purposes.

    I removed a Marlin 336C 30/30 and a Wards Western Field Deluxe Model 60 16ga shitty shotty.

The shotgun is a 16ga. and in TERRIBLE shape. Massive surface rust, the action is clunky as hell, the wood scarred like a mofo.

As I have done a tiny bit of research on the shotty it turns out it is a Savage Arms store branded shotty. Actually becoming collectible now.

Im excited to add my new rifles to my collection. I now have the following.

    Marlin 336C 30/30
    Wards Model 60 16ga.
    Ruger 10/22
    Mosin Nagant M44
    Ruger P95
    Walther P22
    Taurus PT111
    WInchester 1200FPS pellet rifle
and of course the trusty Red Ryder bb gun.

Awww damn man, making me feel bad. The old man is really going out of his head at this point. His doctor wrote the DMV and told them to take his driving license as he is not mentally capabel of driving. If he aint capable to drive he sure as hell isn't going to be keeping guns under his bed.

Prize of my collection, it is actually my son's first WMD. Although, not so much on the mass side, more like Weapon of Minor Destruction.

Man the Marlin really cleaned up NICE. It was completely covered with dust kitties and spooge when I got ahold of it an hour ago. Lookin sweet now!

Taking it to the range tomm to try it out.

I have always admired lever action rifles, and now I own one! Gonna get my wild wild west on tomm!!

336s are great rifles. What year is it?

For shooters the ones that are pre-safety but have the micro-groove barrel are some of the best I have shot. Reliable, accurate and comfortable.

My main deer rifle is a 336 in .35 rem. Basically an upsized 30-30. Good out to 100-150 yards, great at punching through brush.

I found a carbine length 336 at a pawn shop cheap one time. Wish I had picked it up. I would have been a great short gun for heavy brush.

It is a pre safety, I am not sure what year it is, but am guessing early 70's?

It is a nice gun. I had some problems with field stripping it when I first got it but have sorted that.

I shoot tight groups with it, it has nice balance and the grips fit my hand very well.

I have run about 700 rounds through it so far with out a problem.

The mag release is the only issue I see with this gun. Once in awhile if I am not very careful with my grip my thumb will hit it and release it. It doesnt fall out, but it comes loose enough to stop the action. This is my own fault and I am working on my grip to correct it.

If I had to do this to someone I love, I think I would be more saddened than excited to add to my collection.

    Sorry for his loss.

To be honest, I have never really liked the guy, but have always tried to be as nice as possible to him.

He is and always has been a selfish son of a bitch.

I have no problem disarming him. I know it sounds callous, but none of you know the stories and have lived what I have.

When his wife was dying from ALS all he was worried about was himself. He barely lifted a finger to help her.

Like I said, I have no guilt, or bad feelings at all.
