Ad removal software

    :rant2: i can't find a thread anywhere that has a list of great ad removal software..
    i'm having this odd websearch window popping up everytime i search for something on google, and a couple other sites

    ive tried the current removal progs:
    Ad-Aware
    spybot
    Bazooka
    Startup Inspector
    SpywareBlaster
    SpywareGuard
    BHODemon2.0

    and you might want to switch to firefox. Firefox blocks popups.

    Have you checked add/remove programs for any programs you do not recognize? that's where most of the crap comes from. That and toolbars.

    Firefox does not do a darn thing to stop a program running in the background to open IE windows... It only stops JAVAscript pop-ups. Changing browsers without removing IE will only stop the installed programs that recoginize when IE is running which most do not do.

    yeah i know i meant after he is done removing the programs he might want to use firefox
