when doing a scan, it freezes every time when deep scanning the registry.

i disabled the registry deep scan, but then it froze on another folder, an aol archive folder.

i unchecked that folder so it would skip it, but then it froze on a different folder...

i found some posts searching google on other forums where people complained about this, but there was no real answer i could find?

When this happened to me, it turned out that the hard drive was bad. It wasn't able to read the files, so it would keep trying and not give up nor display any type of error message.

Try running it in safe mode, sometimes there's so much crap that they just choke.
