So, I'm in the market for a new car. Currently, I drive a 95 Honda Civic, it's got about 360,000km on it. Just starting to run into issues, Rad is gonna go shortly, and I'm starting to have electrical issues. Basically, the car is about due to be retired, it's given me 11 years of faithful service, and I've beaten the hell out of it. I'm thinking the Volvo S60 and Acura TL are more or less in the same league. Sporty Sedans, with Manual Transmission. Good handling, can still take the 2 kids in child seats. The g/f gets the Ford Partners discount (Employee pricing +2%) so the cost of each vehicle is within 1k of each other Figure 40900 for the TL and about 42 for the S60. The difference is the Financing which is 1.8 for 60 mos on the Volvo, vs 6.75 on the Acura. I've test driven both, and I like them both ..pretty much equally. The Volvo has a bit more low end torque, but that's about the only difference. Thoughts?
