im in the market for a car, anyways, i was looking at getting a 94-01 gsr, however i checked up on the rsx out of curiousity and to my surprise they're now going for the same price as a gsr, what's up with that? and, is $8000 to much for a '00 gsr with 102000 miles?

they did the refresh on the integra in 98 so models newer than that are going to be a little more than previous years, solid cars though. I havent looked at RSX prices in a while, the Type S is the equivilent to the GSR in that bodystyle but it has 200hp instead of w/e the base one has

because ricer's demand for GSR has driven its price to a stupid level. even to a point of having the same price of a much better car with more hp & features (rsx)

search of used honda civic vs. honda accord. they're both priced the same and yet the accord is better in every way.

Generally speaking, Integras will be more mod-friendly than RSXs. Partly b/c they have just been around longer, partly b/c the teggy engines (B Series) have been done 6 ways from sunday, while the RSXs haven't been (yet).

If the prices are that similar... if you want a car to mod, get a teggy, if you want a nice all around car, with a decent interior, get the RSX.

    My .02 anyways.

Im not looking to do any performance mods, but something clean and simple for a daily driver. Im leaning towards the teg, as Im sure insurance is going to be a lot cheaper to.

The base gs. Fully loaded. I thought it was decent on gas until I drove my gf's protege5 last week. 800km on $50 of gas. I couldn't believe it.
Ball joints can be a problem, and beware of rust.
The suspension is nice but the car is slow as hell

lol you must not be keeping up with k20 mods. NA k20's are making upwards of 250whp without doing too much work. Good luck getting a b18 to 250whp without doing major internal and head work.

The interiors are really dated in the integras. RSX if you can find one for cheap.

Get an RSX if you can. The K series responds to mods REAL well.
