In for a good price too. Would love to be the first one in my unit with one (we haven't been fully issued ACUs yet)

Make sure it has an NSN or it's not authorized for wear.

    Do Not Buy It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It is unauthorized!

The official ACU Gortex has not yet been released (will be released next week).
It's only 160 bucks too at aafes.

The acu gortex has the velcro name tapes and rank on the front.

OMFG this can't come soon enough. Seeing all of these soldiers walking around in fleece gortex liners is getting old quicker than Iraq. Especially when they have the nerve to call me out for not wearing a reflective belt while armed up. You do your army thing, I'll do my air force thing Atleast I don't look like I am late for a Christmas party.

The fleece is authorized. And it's :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
    Best army invention ever.

BTW: The black fleece is being phased out. The new green fleece has the velcro for name, rank, and service.

If you see anyone wearing a gray fleece with out this, they are wearing unauthorized crap.

I had been told that it was authorized until the ACU gortex came out. I didn't realize that it was actually permenantly authorized outterwear. You have got to be kidding me. What will they dream up next?

We're getting some ACU gortex jackets next week though some guys already have them issued. Probably won't wear it because we should be getting a PCU setup as well.

It originally is not, and you can't find it in 670-1 (yet) but it came out in a G1 alacrat message.

I saw pics last week. I'm trying to find them. IMO, it looks like crap compared to the black.
I also heard rumors that the black fleece is going to start getting the velcro.

CIF here (Fort Rich) just got them, so I'm assuming they're what you're talking about. I've been meaning to go switch my shit out.
