Well, the SO and I are again both running a 5k this weekend. In lieu of us doing dinner/drinking, I suggested we do something that was more 'active' and fitting with the training we'll both be doing this week.

So.. I'm kind of stumped here. I was thinking of a few things, but they're all kind of cheesey imo. I know she's played frisbee golf before, but tossing a frisbee around may not be her thing. I was also thinking we could go for a long walk together/go jogging together, but we'd not get to socialize with each other much if we did that. Lastly, I'm thinking about tossing a baseball around since she used to play softball back in high school.

I figure whatever we do, I'll suggest us getting smoothies, or making our own, which wouldn't be a bad idea.

What are some ideas that OT has?

Oooh or you could do my favorite and take her in the middle of the woods and give her a 5 minute head start before you track her down, kill her and wear her skin as a coat.

I vote paintballing. I LOVE it. I don't have anyone to go with anymore. Rock climbing is a BUNCH of fun, and Disc golf is also a tun of fun and easy to play, and you get a lot of time to talk, and will be outdoors.

I also suggest you make smoothies yourselves, making food together is a lot of fun.

Go-karting, golfing (still fun even if you suck at it), rock climbing, and the paintballing idea is good too!

no courses here, but we could hit up a park and make one up.

I wish we could do rock-cilmbing, but no gym here has a wall (that I know of)

I've got a few holds that belong to my brother that I should set up, and probably purchase some more as well because I used to do a lot of climbing as a kid, as well as bouldering.

Paintball would be iffy, I don't think she'd want to get that shot up/bruised.

Working out together isn't a bad idea either.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I'm going to run them by her tonight and see what interests her the most.

And yeah, making your own smoothies ftw. I always make my own :)

Bike ride, hike/nature hike, rollerblading, fishing.
+1 on the go carting, paintballing, kayaking and folfing.
Whats that game where you start out with a paper clip and try to get something better than that? Could be fun, but also could be a flop. Seems like it would be good if you're in a college town or area.

    no go-karts around here.

they do have a few driving ranges in the area I may take her to.

Unfortunately the date's gonna have to be on an evening during the week and not on a weekend, so that really limits me with what we can do.

I figure I'll mention tennis as well and see if I can convince a friend to let me borrow his rackets.

Tennis is loads of fun as a date- especially if you can get another couple to play against. :bigthumb:

    .

    Wakeboarding

BMX track (if she's that cool)

MX track or Dirtbike/ATV trail riding (if she's that cool)

Hiking/Backpacking (weekend of just you and her)

and, the end all be all, sailing. If you know how to sail, take her sailing. If you dont know how to sail, take classes together. If she knows how to sail and you dont, turn in your man card.

thts touchy territory though, cause it'll be great if ur a great dancer, but if ur not.......it can lead to total failure
