So it seems like most places have the ACE Skeleton stocks on backorder. In fact, I placed an order for one through DS Arms at the same time as I bought my upper last night. I give them a call today and it turns out they've had them backordered since March. Anybody know of any reputable places selling them?

I cancelled all the stock parts, dropping my 400 dollar order to 290, but they haven't refunded my money yet so I can't justify buying another stock somewhere else, even though I *think* I found it somewhere.

So they say that the stock comes with a buffer tube, buffer, and spring- all for 90. Pretty amazing to me. I gave them a call and asked if they also included the castle nut for the buffer tube as well as a receiver end plate- the answer I got is that "this kit has everything needed to bolt onto your gun." We'll see once I order one.

Final question- any of you guys have suggestions on the size of ACE Skeleton stock? Any pictures? to give you an idea, I'm 5'10"

Here is the "entry" version: http://www.del-ton.com/ACE_Buttstock_p/bs1030.htm

That page for the "entry" version is a bit confusing- under options it doesn't include a buffer tube, but it says it includes one. I guess I'll have to call in and check.

The rifle length ACE stock is A1 length without the buttpad. It comes with a rubber buttpad which turns it into an A2 length.
I personally really like the A1 length (which is how it is in the following pictures.

The rifle length recoil tube, which this stock uses, does not use a castle nut.

ETA: I got mine from brownells. It says it's made by double star, but it's not.

ETA again: Del-ton has one hell of a backlog right now, just fyi

I want to say that I'm going with the "entry" one...it's about the size of adjustables collapsed and that's what's felt good to me before. I won't be doing too much bench rested shooting with this AR.

edit: Del-Ton said they'd get it in the mail within a week :o

Anybody else know of anywhere both versions, or preferably the "entry" version, is in stock? I might just order it and wait it out since my upper won't be built for another week.

So...uh...I assume I need a buffer tube with that...it kind of looks like there is one "in" the stock...Anybody care to chime in on this?

Yeah I saw that, but under options it says "With buffer and spring"

I'm a bit confused and I think I'll be calling the fine folks of Del-Ton tomorrow...again.
