Accurate 12" subs?

    I'f I wanted to throw $300-$400 ($150 to $200 apiece) at a pair of 12" subs, what would you reccomend as an accurate (as in no delay, not boomy, etc.) sub woofer?

    I've not decided on what kind of amp to be running these off of yet, but I'm looking at say 600-800RMS (300-400RMS per speaker?)

    The "accuracy" of any decent subwoofer will be more determined by the enclosure. If you want no boomyness and delay, your best bet is usually a very large sealed box.

    Two of the stryke av12 mk2's would work well in a 3cubic foot enclosure and sound excellent. The output provided would be outstanding as well.

    For the amplifier, a JBL 1200.1, DEI 1100D, or Lanzar Vibe 1200D would work well and each would put out around 800wrms into 2ohms, which is 400w per speaker.
