    or a few weeks, whatever.

As some of you know, I have really, really taken a step back with what I am doing with photo in order to reevaluate my life. I've got a lot going on with academics and work and the next year is probably going to be harder than any year in my life, but I'll get through it.

Woke up at 6am and broke into this old insane asylum on Saturday. I've wanted to go in since I started taking pictures (I got into photography solely because of my love of urban decay and exploration). Fun shit. I forgot my roots over the years and forgot how much I love the thrill and excitement and romance associated with this type of photography.

If I ever shoot people again, I might try some sort of conceptual shoot here.

I freaked and bolted when I heard a door slam down the hall from where I was. Call me a pussy.

    Onto the Pics:

    I think they look a little too processed. 1,2 & 5 aren't too bad.

tell me about it. I don't know how much off camera stuff you could do though, because flash would draw attention from the outside. :wtc: The police station for the campus is right across the street from the fun buildings. :eek3:

None of them are HDR. Only processed in LR.

    Welcome back.

I like 1 the best, cool shot. 2 seems slightly pelfed, just enough to make me want to tilt my head. I also like 3 but wish the shadows weren't there on the right side so it could match the left. 4 doesn't do a lot for me, and 5 is okay - it give a nice sense of how creepy it must have been walking around that place.

Really cool location though, nice find.

Some seem soft/pelfed. A lot of them I feel like I want to take a half step to the left or something because the perspective is a little off. Can't put my finger on it.

If something is going to kill me, it better be something that I loved to do. Same thing with skin cancer. If I get it, at least I was enjoying myself while I was in the sun. Can't always protect yourself.

The first one is by far the best imo. i'm diggin the pp, but that's purely subjective. 2 is cool, but it does seem a touch oof.
