First time poster in F&N, long time reader....I 5'11" 190...about 13% BF.Been lifting hard for 2 months now, have pretty good results....arms up to 15 1/2....good definition in chest....but everything is going good except for my abs...I have been lifting and running all summer but these past 2 months I've hit everything pretty hard. I am starting to get the top 2 abs to show a little bit. But my results are really lacking in that area. Is there a way to get them to really show?? Or better workouts? I have a good diet too, not a lot of fats, about 180-200g of protein a day. I want to gain more mass, but not if I will lose the abs that I have started...thanks

If you've been a "long time reader" you'd know to read the stickies first.

From the STICKY that you claim you read:

    "Cutting (losing fat)

    Are you fat?

To lose fat (hence get the fat off your abs so you can see them) you must bring in less calories than you are using in a day. If you are cutting you should intake about .85 X your maintenance calories or 2890 in the example above.

Generally it is advised that you Cut no more than 500 calories below your maintenance level. If you try to starve yourself you will make it harder to lose weight."

You can A) work out your abs to gain muscle mass there, or B) cut so that what you have now shows.

Thanks uofapeter....that's all I really needed to know, so I'll just hold off on the bulk until I get them defined enough with work and cardio

I dont think you get it man, when you start the bulk again, youll loose them. Unless you clean bulk like purevl or timber suggest.

Ok clownass, I'm sorry I assumed you had the inteligence to interpret information you read. Not only that, this question has been asked many times and a simple search would have given you the answer, your case is nothing special or specific.

edit: Oh that's right, you can't search.
