Abs Help...

    Hi, I was wondering if someone could help tell me how to get my abs to show. I am around 5'8 150lbs, with 7-8% body fat; but I have just enough layer of fat on my stomache that I cannot see my abs. How can I let my abs show by summer? Eat way less carbs, alot of cardio and ab workouts?

    In the off chance that you venture back here to read these I will offer some assistance.

    If you are truly 7-8% bf and cannot see your abs then you dont have the ab size to show. They are muscles like any other, the bigger they are, the more they show. Read the stickies and find a good gaining diet and hit the gym.

    look i like u yuppy so im going to keep this as nice as possible. reread the original post. it reeks of ignorance and garbage. once you become a little more informed about nutrition, training, etc u will begin to understand why the original post is so fucking horrible.

    I'm just gonna ask here since no point in making another thread. Any of you guys do the broom handle exercise? 15 minutes of just rotating side to side with a broom handle, or bar whatever. I was just curious if this is beneficial if done a few times a week. I did it yesterday with like a 10 pound bar or something, and my arms felt more sore then the side of my abs

    Your abs are just like any other muscle, you don't get big arms by standing in front of the tv for 10 minutes doing curls with no weight. That being said, here's a list of ab exercises, http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/WaistWt.html#anchor172895, try doing some weighted hanging leg raises and incline sit-ups.

    :squint: when the hell did I say anything about doing this and only this??? It's ONE exercise out of the MANY, and it focuses on the sides. Hanging leg raises are for lower abs, and I do them as well.. :nono:

    hanging leg raises hit all abs when i do 'em, not just the lowers

    Old school bodybuilders like Serge Nubret used to reccomend 15 min to 1/2 hour of it. Maybe include it as a warmup at best though done improperly it could cause more harm than good.

    Are you talking about how like in rocky when he was going to fight clubber lang and clubber did that on a decline situp bench?

    For some reason my right knee hurts a little when I swing to the left, so I say screw that exercise. I'd rather do 30 minutes of crunches
