So, like the title says, I was wondering if there was a way to use the iSight camera on my Macbook as a surveilance camera, and what program should I use to do it. What I want to do is record the inside of my house, with audio, when people are there looking at it (I'm trying to sell it), so I know what people are saying when they look at it. Anyone have any advice??

Apple Remote Desktop and keep Photobooth open. The people at Apple stores do it all the time. When I noticed, I start screwing around with the computer and they pulled the curtain haha

I don't think that's what I want, the remote desktop thing, but what you're saying is if I leave photobooth on, it will record the whole time?? I won't have access to another computer to use remote desktop when people are viewing the house, I just want something to use where I run the computer while I'm gone, and when I come back, I can watch the recording and hear their comments.

i would make sure youre legally allowed to do that in your state. i think theres a difference between video only and video+audio laws.

They'll never know it's happening. Just gonna record while they are looking at the house so I can get a general idea of what people think. See if maybe there's one thing they see screaming to get fixed. Ya know what I mean??

Interesting :hsugh: So in theory I'd be able to install Appel Remote Desktop on a MacBook in the Apple store and see what's going on from my house? :hsugh: Why didn't I think of this earlier?

They already have ARD in the store. You need their administrative password though. You would need the IP Addresses also

I remember this guy got his MacBook stolen, and the people who stole it were taking pictures in Photo Booth that were being uploaded to his Flickr account

Dunno if they were found though

Kinda hard when the realtor calls you an hour in advance to get out of the house. You never see the potential buyers. Something about the fact that the agent wants the buyers to remember the house, not the people who live there. We even are told to go as far as getting our zoo out of there...3 kittahs, 3 doggahs.
