It's basically the one in the sticky with a few minor changes.

    Meal 1
2 scoops whey, 1 cup skim milk, and 1 cup oats in a shake
    2 whole eggs, 4 whites
    Meal 2
    can of tuna
    1/2 cup rice
    1 T pb
    Meal 3
    Chicken breast
    1/2 cup rice
    1 cup broccoli/cauliflower
    1 T pb
    Meal 4
    can of tuna
    1/2 cup rice
    1 T pb
    Meal 5
2 scoops whey, 1 cup skim milk, and 1 cup oats in a shake
    Meal 6
    chicken breast
    2 cups broccoli/cauliflower
    1/4 cup almonds

I usually train an hour or two after waking up and eating so it might go 1, 5, 2, 3, 4, 6 :dunno:

I started with 1 cup rice for each of the meals with rice but it landed total calories at about 3500 which I felt would be too high so I pushed it back to 1/2 cup and got the following:

    Total 3,144 90.7 fat 270.0 carbs 327.4 protein
    25% fat, 34% carbs, 41% protein

I've never gone on an official "cut" before so any insight would be appreicated. I bulked to 265 so I'm not sure if this is enough food to minimize LBM loss, thanks for the input guys

Your protein is still high as shit. I would have my carbs higher than my protein even with dieting unless you are doing a ckd type. The rest is bolded.

My protein was about 350 a day when bulking and I've always heard to keep protein high during a cut :dunno:

Is there a reason you wouldn't do milk after a workout? It's hard for me to stomach whey and water, especially if there's oats in it :hs:

I was looking at GTLifter's log when he was dieting down and he had a tablespoon of PB with every meal besides meal 1 and 6 :dunno:

    http://forums.offtopic.com/showpost.php?p=104739057&postcount=1443

Will add almonds for last meal, thanks for the input.

2 meals with tuna 2 meals with chicken instead of 3 with chicken? :dunno:

it's just so easy to throw on the foreman and walk away... making a steak takes more time and meal preparation is the part I see myself burning out on more than anything :hs:

Supplement some of that chicken for something else. Lean ground beef, steak, ground turkey, etc...

Today I ended up doing tuna instead for one of them :dunno:

If I got ground beef or steak I'd want to do something fancy with it that likely involves extra empty calories... I'm used to eating chicken/tuna plain or with some sriracha :dunno:

Just start eating it... you'll get used to eating it without a "fancy side".

I buy 95% lean sirloin ground beef and add in various spices and form my own burger patties. No bun, no french fries, nothing. I just add a side of sriracha and bbq sauce and have at it.

And who the hell needs a fancy side with a huge piece of steak in front of you?

Is there any benefit in terms of me getting lean or retaining more muscle mass in eating steak as opposed to chicken + healthy fats from another source?

No. Red meat tends to have more necessary vitamins, but it's nothing that will really affect your results.

I recommended the beef because you're going to get REAL sick of chicken eating that much of it daily. And getting sick of your diet food is a quick way to fail at dieting.

For me dieting is not about variety. Dieting is about ease of prep. Dave tate said that he'd rather eat rice cakes and tuna than actually cook a steak with a baked potato beacuse it's quick and easy.

With that said, cooking a steak don't take long but I can see his point.

    Everyone's different.

What prevents me from binging on things like pizza and burgers are making food at home that is healthy AND tasty.

If I am eating chicken breast and brown rice 3 x a day like the TS'er I would be more likely to get a craving for a burger or something.

However, if once a day I throw in my own healthy version of a burger, or a nice steak, etc... it makes me less likely to cheat.

I am real big on taking foods you love and re-vamping them to be "body-builder" friendly.

I love to cook and love to eat... so it only makes sense that if I want to look good I need to find ways to make the food I love taste just as good but be much healthier.

Of course, in busy life the convenience has its purpose. Today while at work I ate 2 dried out chicken breasts with whole grain pasta cooked earlier that day and was dry as hell after being in the microwave.

Didn't taste that good, but the macros were solid, and it was pre-made so the convenience factor was money... but no fucking way I could do that everyday and stay on a diet.
