    Nutrition: ~2200 cals with 40 p, 30 f, 30 c
I currently am a 145 peanut, looking to get up to 160 (without becoming too fatty). I will increase my cal intake as my weight goes up.

My food sources will primarily be Eggs, Oats, Milk, Chicken breasts, Whey, Salmon, Tofu, Broccoli, Cabbage, and some whole wheat bread + PB.

As you can see I will be eating fairly clean, just wondering how often I can throw in a cheat meal? I was thinking a couple of meals/week won't hurt. Also, at the moment, is 2200 calories enough for me to be putting on mass?

    Workout: Bill Starr 5x5 Routine
(3 days a week doing Squats, Bench Press, Rows, Military Press, Deadlifts).

For my Military Press, should I do it standing/seated? DB or BB? I'm guessing Standing BB?
Also, supposing that I do not reach the intended weight for a certain exercise, do I repeat that week of the routine until I hit it??

You are going to need more calories than that. Small african birds live off 2200 calories a day.

Have a cheat meal whenever you feel the need, if the scale stops moving, to break through platueas, or whenever. If you're trying to put on weight, a cheat meal has much less of an impact than if you were dieting.

I am trying to put on weight, but I do not want a large portion of it to be fat. I'll take your guys word and bump up my calories to 2700ish.

To those of you who say that 2200 is hardly anything, keep in mind that I weigh 145 right now..

Can someone please address my questions regarding the workout?

    Cheers

nga i cant lose weight on 2200/day.

But because he's naturally tiny, il'l agree with your sentiment. When in doubt, snack on peanut butter. Really gets those cals in.

2,200 is not even close to enough. That's what I cut on.

If you're a "peanut at 145lbs" you need a lot of food to put on weight most likely. Up that to 3,000 at least.
There's a diet in the sticky by "no quarter". Use that as a foundation but double up on all carbs. His diet comes to about 2,300 cals so if you double up on carbs it should come just short of 3,000.

I have a pretty good diet dialed in right now. I've been lifting a while, just getting serious into it again so getting up to 3000 cals a day is no problem. I think on days i don't train i'll do 2700+, and on days that I do train I'll go 3000+.

I really do hate being chubby/fat, (even at the moment I have a bit of stomach chub that bothers me) and i don't want to undergo the bulk and have a big belly at the end of it.

At the moment I don't have organic Peanut butter, so as a replacement I'll just eat almonds. (Nearly 1000 cals for one cup)

I already drink 4-6 cups a day, don't think I'd like to do a gallon a day though.

Bulking to the point where you get a flabby gut is not bulking... That's just getting fat.

A proper bulk really shouldn't make you flabby and fat. You'll certainly gain some fat on a good bulk, but if you exercise right and eat right while bulking the damage should be quite minimal.

Start with that plan you have and re-evaluate how it's working after 4-6 weeks.

I've been bulking at 3800 calories, and its barely gained me about 1 pound a week.
