...should I get some creatine too? Weight gainer? Anything else recomended?

    6' 170

I'm desperately trying to gain more weight. My diet and protein alone isn't cutting it. Is there anything else that can help me along?

Honestly I dont think I can, I have 2 jobs that are both manual labor. Even though I'm getting a very high caloric intake, I'm expending a ton of it with my jobs. I think it's coming down to giving up a job or giving up working out. But it is going to be too hard to live without either.

do you really need it? what's more important to you? I'm not in your shoes, so honestly I don't know. I find time and manage time wisely, if you can't do that then this sport is not for you. I catch shit all the time for eating 24/7 at work, but you know over time people begin to accept it and it just becomes a habit. Start going prepared to work, pack meals in advance, make shakes. You've gotta do what it takes. Almost everyon eon this board works a full time job or goes to school full time and still manages to make time to eat.

Make up a bullshit excuse like I do that if I don't eat every 2 hours my blood sugar becomes unstable and I can pass out

Heh, you're absolutely right in a way. I have to put more dedication to it. I am very shitty with time management, but my schedule is pretty shitty in general. However, for that I have noone to blame but myself. Eating during work is unacceptable at both jobs. "IF" I get a break I can eat. I will try what you said though and just have things prepared early.

    My usual routine is...

3:15 am - wake up, drink protein shake
3:30 am - eat a bowl of oats and milk. take a pkg of s'mores poptarts for on the ride to work
4:00 am - start work at ups, constant moving
    8:00 am - leave ups
8:30 am - get home, eat another bowl of oats, another poptart for the road
9:00 am - get to discount tire, non stop working til about 1:30 pm
1:30 pm - I'm usually starved at this point, eat as much as i can in 45 minutes. i pack 3 hefty sandwhiches sometimes, sometime i go to the bbq joint next door. depends. back to work.
6:30 pm - leave discount tire, go home shower, eat dinner, protein shake.
8:00 pm - get to gym, workout takes a long time usually because the gym is usually very busy, and i have a workout partner.
10:00 pm - leaving gym, drink protein shake.
10:30 pm - eat another dinner, before bed activities
11:30 pm - drink a protein shake mixed with vanilla ice cream, go to bed.

    pretty shitty schedule :hsugh:

man my friend that I worked with had the same exact schedule and almost the same work

He worked from 7-2 at the tire place, and then the 5-9 shift at UPS. He had one hour to workout, he took all of his meals to work. Since you work at UPS and the shifts are only 4 hours you still can eat every 2 hours if you manage the time better and bring food to eat on the 15 min break. I think you need to try to work out your schedule a little better, and transfer over to a different time frame at UPS

7-2 at tire place and 5-9 at UPS would be perfect for anyone working 2 jobs and still making time for the gym

Yah, but then transportation becomes an issue. Until I can get my car back or another one I have to stick to this schedule. Some mexican lady who didn't have insurance rear ended me. I think what I'm going to do is try the blood sugar excuse thing.

A shift change would be ideal for my workout schedule, but I plan on cutting back on the hours at Discount Tire, just because I will be starting school again. I have a lot left on my plate, but you're right, I just need to be more dedicated to my time management. It is possible, not the best situation, but I think I can pull it off.

Anyways, though, I'll guess I'll just order protein, unless you can recommend me some good creatine, never tried it except for when I took some AdEnergy Stack. I would get that again, it helped a little, however it was too expensive and it went quickly.

the least of your concerns is creatine. Get some whey and get your diet and time management worked out better, then worry about the little supplements

Nah, I'm pretty new to the whole workout scene, only been doing it about 6 months. I forget who recommended it to me, but I tried it. It wasn't a wonder drug or anything, but I did notice a bit of a difference. It may have just been in my head.

But 72 is much better. I need to get at least another 25 lb bag pretty soon. That, plus the watermelon I'm gonna stock up on, is gonna cost me a pretty penny :(
